CMP-HRMAS

The ‘Comprehensive Multi-Phase’ HRMAS probe is a hybrid design that provides faster spinning ( up to 15kHz) and greater power handling for real solids CP experiments in addition to the liquids NMR experiments used in traditional HRMAS probes. Therefore one can observe 1H, 13C and 15N in all phases in a multi-phase heterogenous sample.

For example, we have used it to follow changes in mobile cell surface polysaccharides of whole cell bacterial cultures, soluble metabolites in live mammalian and fungal cell suspensions, and both solid and semi-solid components of plant cell walls.

It is currently installed on a Bruker Avance NEO 600 MHz system
